Your wedding is coming up and you have plates, tables, and chairs to spare, but you just can’t seem to get rid of that little nagging feeling that there is something missing.
If you’ve looked over your wedding rentals contract a million times, but just can’t figure out that missing piece, we understand! Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, so avoid the last minute scramble and let your rentals be easy with Camelot. Over the years, we have noticed that there are a few wedding rental items that are often overlooked.
We’ve put together some commonly forgotten items, so make sure you check them off your list!
1. Trash Cans
Especially when hosting an outdoor party on a beach or at a park, trash cans may not be readily available for guests, or they may have to walk long distances to find them. Renting a few trash cans will make it easier when clearing up your venue, keeping it clutter and trash-free.
2. Extra Tables
We’re not talking about your head or reception tables. You have been agonizing over the seating chart for months and have this part sketched out. What is often forgotten are the extra tables. Gift tables, appetizers, cake and dessert tables, or a cocktail table are all often missed items. Do you want to display family pictures for your guests to sort through or an entry table for your guestbook? Do you have space for your beautiful 4-tiered cake? Think through your event and make sure you have enough table space to account for all the small amazing details you have been planning for!
3. Linens and Napkins
Right alongside your tables, make sure you have the linens to match. From table runners to chair covers and napkins, there are many different linen types to consider. With every extra table you have (whether it’s for the guest book, gifts, cocktails, or the dessert table) you will need to consider having matching linens.
4. Tableware Extras
Items such as salt and pepper shakers, bread baskets, butter plates and knives, appetizer and dessert plates, trays, stands and water pitchers are just a few commonly missed tableware extras. Some other items may include plate covers or chargers, serving spoons, and extra plates for those going to get more than one serving of food!
5. Heaters or Fans
On a summer day in our region, you may end up sweating during the afternoon hours and shivering into the late night. If you are planning your event outside or with a tent, remember that there will not be any systems in place for warming or cooling. By renting heaters or fans, you are ensuring that your guests stay comfortable and happy at your event throughout the entire night!
Make sure you have enough glasses for your guests to be able to enjoy the party! If you are serving coffee, cocoa or other hot drinks, have the mugs on hand. If you have water, iced tea, or lemonade options, include various options of glassware. For the bar, there has to be plenty of beer, wine, and cocktail glasses to go around. And definitely, don’t forget the champagne glasses so you can toast the night away with your guests!
